Hold It!

This is another fun little "gifty" idea.  Making them in quantity really speeds things up too, so they would be great party favors.  I love giving little gifts to friends also, just out of the blue (hmm... I may need to change that expression to "just out of the pink" with a baby granddaughter on the way).  Hey does anyone know where the saying "out of the blue" comes from?

OK, I digressed!  These are great to give with a little note posted in the clothes pin, but they make great recipe holders, or put a favorite picture in there, or one that you took for some one, or display some of your stamping fun in the clothes pin.

The base is made with a 2 inch square tile, stamp your design using StazOn ink, color in with blender pen and Pastels.  Then LIGHTLY spray with an acrylic spray.  Did I mention that you should do a very LIGHT coat of spray?  If you do not do it LIGHTLY, the black ink will run.  These are easy and fun to do.  What are you waiting for, go get started making some!

"out of the blue" -- something unexpected or unplanned. I think the complete thought was "like a bolt of lightning out of the blue sky", abbreviated to "out of the blue". But I'm sure there are more theories out there!
