Well, I'll bet it is no longer the turkey -
Happy day after Thanksgiving to everyone! What a great holiday Thanksgiving is. It is more about giving than getting in my opinion. We were delighted to be invited to a dear friends home for Thanksgiving dinner along with another family. It was a great day to celebrate friendship.
I did offer to bring the usual, and I love making desserts, so did that along with a few other contributions to the Turkey Dinner. I wanted to bring a little something to the Hostess (Hi Laurie!) too, just to let her know how special I think she is. So, I put together this very nostalgic looking box of candies - well, actually Hershey Nuggets. I was very pleased with how the box turned out - Laurie loves collecting antiques and I feel this box gave that feeling of old world. Want to see the inside? Here it is.
Laurie also had a great idea for place cards so asked me to help with that. She had purchased pears with lovely little stems on them and planned to put one at each place setting. She asked me to make a little tag to hang from the stem. Darn, I did take my camera with me but never took one picture while I was there.
Anyway I have a picture of the tags after they were all made. Here it is.
Materials used for these projects were:
card stock: Really Rust, Brushed Silver (for lining the inside bottom of candy drawer, Sage Shadow, So Saffron, and More Mustard (tag on candy) and Whisper White (tag on candy), Creamy Caramel for tags, Autumn Vine double sided designer paper
Inks used: More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Versamark
Accessories: Gold embossing powder, gold eyelets, linen thread, chocolate chip 5/8" ribbon.
