Nothing like an unexpected card to make someone feel better and know that you are thinking of them.
Again, I have used one of the Texturz Plates - on the So Saffron card stock - this one is a Stampin' Up! exclusive. I Love these little dots.
The stamp set is called "Sweet Stems", for the floral and for the greeting - It's from the new stamp set "Really Retro". I just love the sayings in this new set, I know it is going to be getting a real work out!
I sure am having a great time with the new texturz plates from Stampin' Up!'s new catalog.
This one with all the sweet little flowers - see them on the background that is Perfect Plum (really) color? I have also sponged around the edges of this layer of card stock.
The flower images were colored in with markers and are from the stamp set "Central Park". The greeting stamps are from the stamp sets "Curly Label Punch Bundle" And from "Fundamental Phrases.
Card stocks used: Almost Amethyst, Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Perfect Plum, and Whisper White.
Accessories are the Curly Punch and the new Organza Ribbon -
This is the same pretty leaf as the sample I posted yesterday, but what I really wanted to show you was the embossed textured card stock - brushed silver - that I was able to do with the Big Shot.
I used one of the pretty textured sides of the plates that are exclusively Stampin' Up! Item number 114512.

This card uses a leaf design from the new STICKY CUTS SWEET on page 180 of the new catalog. These are super sticky die cuts that are perfect to add some razzle dazzle to any project - I have added olive fine glitter to this one - easy as pie and is from the new catalog also.

So, we have leased an apartment in Arizona so I can stay longer when I am visiting you know who - and the kids have cats which I am allergic to and this apartment is a cat free zone.
OK, I have so easily digressed. While furnishing the apartment I really wanted to use some of my Decor Elements. The walls in homes (and apartments) in Arizona are typically not very smooth, so I decided to make a wall hanging that was light weight and easy to hang.
So, I purchased a fairly good size blank canvas that already had a gesso coating on (like a primer). I then tinted several paper cups of white craft paint with some of Stampin' Up!'s dye ink refills and began to make horizontal stripes onto the canvas - they are faint. Try clicking on this picture to enlarge it and maybe see the painted stripes and the Decor Elements more easily. I used two sets of the largest Manhattan Flower in two colors, one in Chocolate and one in Kraft (again, this picture shows them quite faint, so go ahead and click on it). So easy! Done!

I recently sent out ten of these cards, I hope that they are enjoyed by those I sent them too.
The stamp set is new in the brand new Spring-Summer 2009 catalog, it's called Sweet Stems and is on page 99 in the new catalog. It works so well with this printed paper! Also the satin Kiwi Kiss ribbon is the icing on the cake so to speak - it really adds a touch of elegance to this one.

This is the last of the three cards that my guests made at my Valentine Bundle Class(they made a sweet little heart basket holder too, will need to get a better photo of it however, first one came out a bit blurry).
Each guests packet included pre-cut card stock except for the Designer Paper, this was in their bundle they ordered so they got the privilege of cutting their own!
This was a fun card with a little extra detail. Stamping and cutting out the birds and then piecing them on to the Pink Pirouette birds that were stamped with Riding Hood Red showed them a fun trick.
Dying the flower from the Pretties Kit using a dauber and dye ink and securing it with a Pretty In Pink rhinestone brad added plenty of detail.

If you have these items you too could make this card. The guests at my class on Saturday enjoyed this card - got to try out lots of product too. They used the scallop punch, watercolor paper and they enjoyed the added touch of the flower being added on top of the stamped image in RED!
