Glitter and Glitz

 I love it when I can add lots of glitter to a project and this one is one of those!

The "Sticky Pages" on page 180 (you need to look for them - the item has an "n" next to it to indicate that it is a new item.  They are wonderful with the die cuts for the Big Shot or you can purchase an assortment that are already pre cut - see the "Sticky Cuts Sweet" at the top of the same page.

OK, now you just need some of the beautiful glitter assortments found on the same page at the bottom.  NOW you are ready for some real raz-ma-taz, and believe me when I tell you that these are even better in real life!

Stamps:  "Garden Greetings" (this is a great set because it even has four greetings in it as well as some charming flowers);  Card Stock, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip and Sweet Always designer paper plus I used water color paper for the other two cut out flowers.

Inks:  Black Jet StazOn and Chocolate Chip.

This die is very cool for the sticky pages because you actually can cut out two flowers in the same amount of space.  Die is called "Build a Flower" (I only used sticky page that was to cut to fit over just the one flower that I wanted to use).  See below to see the two flowers I was able to make using the one cutting.

I used the Fine Supernova Glitter, plus Crystal Effects on the smallest Flower and a mini brad for the center of the middle sized flower.  A piece of 5/8" wide Pink Pirouette ribbon was also used.

Sweet and Simple

 This is an easy card to put together in a jiffy and the sentiment is a favorite of mine because you can use it for any occasion.  This printed paper will be gone after March 31, 2009 - it is available for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order - a really good bargain in my book.

For Sweet Baby Alana

  Do you remember that I posted some little tiny baby gifts that I hand stitched (see this post on Dec. 22nd).  Well, the baby is here - actually she was born in January!

Life being what it is and very hectic with my traveling and being on the road so much, I just didn't get a congratulation card and gift into the mail until recently.

I wanted the card to be very special (don't you hate it when you put so much pressure on yourself and usually it makes the task so much harder).

This is what I ended up with baby Alan.  It pretty much came out to be what I envisioned.  I wanted it to be sweet, feminine, and babyish. 

The stamp set Nursery Necessities can't be beat for any occasion in my mind. 

Beautiful Dry Embossing

I love the new Texturz pads from Stampin' Up! that create some beautiful dry embossing!  They are so easy to use and give such a subtle addition to any project.

I especially like to use them on the lighter colors of card stock, it really shows them off!

Soft as a Breeze

Another sweet little card for any occasion using the stamp set "Trendy Trees".

Card Stock:  Baja Breeze and designer series paper "Urban Garden".

Ink:  Pacific Point and Chocolate Chip

Accessories:  Scallop edge border and basic black grosgrain ribbon

Added Glitz

Do you know that the reason that I signed on to be a demonstrator back in 1993 was so that I could order my own "glitter glue" from myself?  Do you know that I really like glitter?

For this card I cut out and embossed the sweet little leaf motif using the Big Shot and the lovely little "Sweetest Stem" embosslit die from Stampin' Up!

Then I carfully layed down a thin layer of "Crystal Effects", page 191 in the catalog, and then sprinkled with Olive fine glitter, page 180.

The colors LOOK way off in this picture, but the Card Stock actually is Certainly Celery and Old Olive with designer pattern paper in Old Olive too.

Accessories:  Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon and eyelet border punch

Sweet as Sugar

Doesn't the Dazzling Diamonds glitter on this card look like sugar on a "sugar cookie"?  For some reason in this picture it looks like more than in real life!

I love making monochromatic cards, the palate is so soothing in my opinion.
