Stamping with Pennie

I've Been Away....

...and hopefully you didn't even notice!  Actually I have been away from home for just over six weeks, and it is lovely to be home.

Let me catch you up - I was expecting my second grandchild and flew out to be with my daughter and her family to await "his" arrival and to try to be of help.  Cole arrived on April 29th - he is so sweet and totally adorable.  Here is a picture of him, see what I mean! 

Well, not to be out done with the arrival of a new baby, my granddaughter Lauren turned two shortly after his arrival and I have the cutest picture of her to share too.  She is the best "big sister" and wants someone to hold "baby brother" ALL the time!

As much as I loved spending time with everyone, I did make some time to do some stamping (who can go six weeks without a stamping session?).

This is one of the fun cards that I came up with - hope you like it!

Pleasing Window Fun

I love the new printed window sheets in the Occasions mini catalog.  This time I used a teeny bit to line the oval scallop punched area.

SUPPLIES:  Stamps:  Oval All, Card Stock:  Cameo Coral,Whisper White, Summer Sun and Flamingo designer paper;  Ink:  Tempting Turquoise;  Accessories:  Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon, scallop circle punch, large oval punch and printed window sheet.

Because I chose not to put any greeting on this card, it could be for any one and for almost any occasion.  You choose!

Stamp Set:  Forest Friend;  Card Stock:  So Saffron, Almost Amethyst, Whisper White and Tea Time designer paper;  Ink:  Close to Cocoa and for sponging some edges So Saffron and Almost Amethyst;  Accessories:  Apricot Appeal grosgrain ribbon, Tool Kit (piercing grid, mat and tool- makes the faux stitching), Big Shot and Cherry Blossom Embosslet, and a sweet little button from the Button Latte Collection!

Isn't this a Deer?

  Of course it is a dear deer - ha, ha!

I wanted to use the Trio Flowers Punch for this card, so that is how this card evolved.  The deer is stamped in Close to Cocoa and the only other ink I used was the Pretty In Pink and Kiwi Kiss to sponge some edges.  The deer is punched out using the Scallop Circle Punch, the large Whisper White Circle was cut using the Circle Scissors as was the Chocolate Chip Circle.  The Kiwi Kiss (from Good Morning Sunshine designer papers) was cut with the Big Shot and the Scallop Circle #2 die.

I have used Apricot Appeal mini brads as well as Pretty In Pin and Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon.

Bold and Bright

  I know that this stamp set looks great stamped in pastel and soft colors so I just NEEDED to try it with something different.

Stamp Sets:  Dear Friend and Oval All (both are in the current Mini Catalog);  Card Stocks:  Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Summer Sun, Riding Hood Red and Whisper White;  Inks:  Basic Black and Riding Hood Red;  Accessories:  Piercing tool and mat and template from the Stampin' Up! tool kit (look closely, you can even click on the image - the piercing is on the Riding Hood Red stripe at the bottom), Scallop Circle Punch, Large Oval Punch and Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon.

Soft and Feminine

  Love this color combination, never do seem to get tired of it, so I hope you aren't either.

Faux Metal

 I thought the leaves from the Great Friend stamp set would be perfect to stamp in to some Faux Metal.  To make the Faux Metal, just take a piece of card stock and smoosh Versamark ink all over it and sprinkle with Silver Embossing Powder, heat and then repeat the ink and powder until you have a medium heavy build up of this.  The last time you heat the powder be really ready to quickly stamp your image right into the molten powder!  Voila!

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY LAUREN

Today is my granddaughter's 2nd birthday - what fun!

I am visiting her and I am going to be able to celebrate with her - I couldn't be happier.

This is the card that I made for her birthday - I tried to make it girly. Of course with all of this pink what else could it be?

Stamps:  On Your Birthday and Wagon Full of Fun, from the current mini catalog.  Card stock:  Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Watercolor paper and Sweet Always.  Inks:  StazOn Jet Black, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, and Pumpkin Pie.  Accessories:  Big Shot with Go Go Boots die, Billboard Alphabet and Scallop Circle, Circle Scissors, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds, Scallop Edge Punch, and Rhinestone Brad.

Colorful

This card could hardly be any more colorful!

I made about a dozen of these cards and love the way they turned out - they will all be getting mailed out this week!

My inspiration came from the wild double sided designer paper "Pink Flamingo".  Not all of the patterns in the packet are quite this loud, but I thought it would be fun to go right for some gusto with this one.  Other card stocks used are:  Whisper White, Summer Sun, Tempting Turquoise, Cameo Coral and water color card stock for the fish.  Stamp Sets:  Just Beachy from the Occasions Mini Catalog and Smarty Pants.  Inks:  StazOnJet Black and for water coloring, Summer Sun, Cameo Coral, Tempting Turquoise.  Accessories:  the new Scallop Oval punch, small oval punch and large oval punch, and a length of Turquoise grosgrain.
