I have been having fun stamping in my newly set up stamp room/office. Oh, the fun you can have with the stamp set 'Button Buddies'. To start with I am showing you my take on the SNAIL, having recently moved to the North West I think he is pretty appropriate. Also, below is my TUTORIAL for the "One Hole Bow". Hope you find it useful!
Start by punching a hole right where you want your ribbon to tie (just through THE FRONT of your card, and THEN thread one tail of your ribbon (or twine) through from the under side-
Next, bring the long end from under the front of the card, up across the card front and back underneath and through the hole that you started with. (Ideally one of each of the ends of your ribbon should be on each side of the flat long piece, if it isn't just go ahead and tuck one of the ends underneath the flat long piece so it does come out on the other side of it.)
Lastly, snug up your ends so that the long piece is lying flat against the card front and then proceed to tie your ends together and trim them. You should end up with the finished ribbon, looking like my first picture!
Stamp Set: Button Buddies; Card Stock: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Basic Black, Garden Green; Ink: Garden Green; Accessories: Polk Dot Embossing Folder with Big Shot, Crimper, Scallop Edge Border, So Saffron Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Circles die #2, 3/4" circle punch, Printed Design Brad
"One Hole Bow" is one of the first things I learned from you and I use it all the time. Don't know what I would do had you not taught me that. Thanks! I am passing "One Hole Bow" along to my stamping classes. Enjoying your blog.
