Stamping with Pennie

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY COLE!

I can't believe it has been three years already since Cole was born.  He is such a cutie and full of little boy spunk.  I asked him yesterday what Grandma Pennie should put on his birthday card, and luckily he said "A truck!"  Whew, because I had already made his card the day before.

If you click on the picture you will see it enlarged a bit and see that the cab and back of the truck have been snipped out and layered onto the image using dimensionals.  The presents have also been cut out and glued on, but not raised.  The letters to spell out his name are from the stamp set Friendly Phrases, just stamped and then cut the words apart to get the letters I needed. 

Want to see the birthday boy?  This picture was taken last weekend when his sister, Grandpa Chuck and I walked to the park with him.  This is a favorite activity of Cole these days.  And to sweeten the pot, we took bubbles to blow and a snack to eat when we got there.  OK, it is only a quick block and a half away and these two little ones are EXCELLENT walkers, they don't get tired, AND they don't whine!

I waited too long to get attached to this lovely stamp and now it will only bew around until May 30th.  If you would like to add it to your collection before it is no longer available, just let me know.  It is called "Uncharted Territory ", and the set of four stamps also includes a lovely light house.

It was water colored on  Watercolor card stock using a blender pen and ink pads.  Let me know if there is more information you would like.

Look Closely! VERY Closely!

Can you see the image? - it really was better in real life.  it is stamped with VersaMark - WaterMark Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The stamp is from the "Field Flowers" set. 

Beautiful Floral Stamp Set

This is one of the cards my guests at a recent Stamp-A-Stack made.

It used the stamp set "Bordering on Romance"  The ovals were cut using the oval die for my Big Shot and the larger oval has texture added using the Snow Burst Embossing Folder, also on my Big Shot.

Watercoloring Softness

This stamp set "Field Flowers" is so pretty and would work well for so many occasions.  I have used water color crayons directly  on the rubber to achieve this look and have stamped it onto watercolor card stock after misting the colored stamp.

This card uses a stamp from the set "Mouthwatering" in the Occasions mini catalog - expires May 30, 2012.  I have used Crumb Cake card stock and have used my "crimper" to make the corrugated looking piece, adding lots of texture.

A Sweet Little Birdie

I CAN NOT believe that Stampin' Up! has this sweet little stamp set on the Retiring List!  What are they thinking, I know they didn't ask me.  This has been my "go to" stamp set for all kinds of cards, particularly "Thinking of You" cards - it just makes me feel calm and serene.

Don't you love this sweet little bird?  This stamp set is called "Every Moment" and is on page 123 of the annual 2011-1012 catalog.  Let me know if you would like me to order it for you.

Well, I have certainly LOVED this stamp set to death!  It is the "Mixed Bunch" set that has a coordination Blossom Punch to match it.

I have added another layer to this card with the Lattice Die and it is cut with Vellum Card Stock-

SWEEEEET!

White daisies are always just as sweet as can be!  Can you get the pattern here, that I really have enjoyed using this wonderful stamp set - "Mixed Bunch".  This time I have embossed it using white embossing powder on Daffodil Delight yellow card stock.  Sweeeeeet!

More Flowers!

Nothing says SPRING like flowers, and if you live in Western WA State, there has been plenty of Rain to have "April Showers Bring May Flowers".

This card uses the "Blossom" punch form the current Occasions Mini Catalog and it also uses lots of little flowers that I punched using my "Boho Blossoms" punch from the Big Idea Book and Catalog.  So.... never underestimate the power of a PUNCH!  I have also featured one of the beautiful Filigree Brads from the Big Idea Book and Catalog!
